Eban tops Asia headhunters survey

After coming first last year, Executive Access moved down to third place in the survey by Asiamoney about recruitment firms operating outside Japan.

Asiamoney said 200 banks and other financial companies that use headhunters responded to the survey.

As well as moving up from second to first place in ex-Japan Asia, Eban retained its top spot inside Japan. Two Eban consultants, Stephen McAlinden and Allan Walker, were named best individual headhunters in ex-Japan Asia and in Japan respectively.

Asiamoney said headhunters should benefit from an economic revival in Asia in 2004. 'After two years of relative famine, they could be on course for their busiest and most profitable year of the new millennium so far,' it said.

Alexander Mann moved up from third to second place in the poll in ex-Japan Asia, while Heidrick rose from third to second in Japan.
