Tardis gets bigger

The company said it aims to hire six consultants in the next three months for equity trading, equity derivatives, risk, compliance and fixed income roles, as well as financial software sales, and finance-oriented consultancies.

Jeremy Francois, managing director of Tardis, said: 'The market is picking up and we are looking to expand our operation with experienced recruitment professionals.'

At the peak of the market in 2001, Tardis employed nearly 30 people. Today it has only 15 staff, 10 of them consultants and five researchers.

Improving market conditions are also prompting other search firms to expand. One, Sheffield Haworth, says it plans to hire an additional 10 staff in the next nine months.
