Piper Prichard hires compliance specialist

The 10-year-old recruitment firm has hired Malcolm Hill to head up its new financial services practice. Hill will initially focus on senior level compliance search and says he expects to hire other staff over the coming months.

He is returning to recruitment following a 12-month break in which he did an MBA, after leaving the recruitment firm Alexander Mann Global Markets (AMGM) in 2002. At AMGM he led the specialist compliance team.

Hill began his career in compliance recruitment with Michael Page City.

Recruiters say the introduction of the N2 regulatory regime in the UK two years ago has broadened the demand for compliance positions in financial services firms, especially among law graduates.
