Interns are offered training throughout the internship and a week's formal training at the beginning. Ongoing training varies according to division.

Methods of assessing interns also vary according to division. There is usually a two-week period of formal assessments during the internship. This might involve a mini-thesis, or the completion of a project. All interns have to complete some form of test.
