Alexander Mann hires CAI banker as chairman

Diggines succeeds John Singer, the managing director in London of the private equity company Advent International, which invested 25m (€36m) in Alexander Mann in 1999.

Diggines' responsibilities in 15 years at CAI latterly included structured lending and private equity. Earlier he was chief operating officer and head of human resources. He left CAI earlier in 2003.

Alexander Mann said Singer's appointment as chairman had been intended from the start as temporary until a successor could be found.

The UK-based company is active in a number of recruitment sectors including investment banking, technology, telecommunications and healthcare. It operates across Europe and in Hong Kong.
