Cresta hires Lappin from Harvey Nash
He will also run the firm's IT recruitment business. Lappin moves from recruitment firm Harvey Nash, where he was business development manager and latterly part of its search division. Before that, he was business development manager for the search firm McGregor Boyall.
Despite depressed hiring markets, Cresta says it has seen a lift in demand for search, particularly across prime broking, credit derivatives and IT. Its search services cover fixed income, credit, equities, alternative investments, quants and IT.
Lappin will work closely with the company's software development business, Cresta Information Systems, which does work for banks.
