Ashton Penney hires Vescina for private equity roles

Vescina joins after a career break to bring up her children. She was previously a director of Smithfield Financial, a public relations consultancy.

Before that she held marketing roles with fund managers CNIM and Ivory Sime followed by 10 years at ING Barings, working in corporate finance and change management.

Vescina will work mainly with private equity firms and other financial institutions, handling interim management needs in such areas as disposals, change management and corporate turnarounds.

Vescina said: 'Interim managers are gaining a good name in the City of London where they are proving particularly useful during the present downturn.

"Demand for them is growing and we think the demand will grow even more strongly when the markets recover.'
