Penna hires search consultants

Duncan MacKay, a headhunter with expertise in the hedge fund sector, joins from rival search firm Marshall Warburton. His career has spanned recruitment in Hong Kong, the US and Europe.

Jonathan Hawes also joins Penna, from global recruitment firm TMP Worldwide. He is a specialist in senior level executive search, including derivatives and asset management, with more than 10 years experience in the field.

Hawes will also act as a career consultant for Penna, whose services include outplacement and other human resources advice as well as search.

Increasing redundancies in the City have led to rising demand for outplacement.

DBM, a rival of Penna that is owned by the Thomson Corporation, this month expanded its City of London outplacement operation.

Penna is expected soon to move into expanded offices around the corner from DBM's premises near Cannon Street.
