Meredith and Brown set up asset management recruitment firm
The pair, with a combined 15 years of recruitment experience, left the Centre Point Group last year.
They said they believed their sector was being underserved by larger retained search firms.
Meredith said the new firm did not ask for a retainer when trying to fill a vacancy, which he described as unusual for positions in the 60,000 to 80,000 salary range. All its fees were payable when the firm successfully placed someone.
Before becoming recruiters, Brown spent a total of seven years working for Chase Manhattan and JP Morgan, while Meredith worked for Citigroup and Credit Suisse.
