AMGM hires insurance experts from Longbridge

White worked as a Lloyd's broker for 10 years concentrating on North American treaty reinsurance before becoming a headhunter. Barrat spent six years based in the Lloyd's market.

They have experience of helping the insurance sector recruit ex-banking staff, particularly those with experience of the alternative risk transfer market.

Their focus is on general insurance, life, pensions and investment markets, with their clients being insurers, brokers, consultancy practices, life insurance companies, IFAs and corporates.

AMGM said the hires showed it was committed to the financial sector across all functions and asset classes, despite the depressed market conditions.

They are also a way of adapting to the changing job market, as there is a glut of candidates with investment banking experience but few search mandates from investment banks.
