Morgan Stanley banker joins Rose search firm

Wright moves from Morgan Stanley, where she was an executive director and head of corporate derivatives coverage in London.

She specialised in structuring, marketing and executing interest rate derivative transactions for debt capital markets clients. Prior to Morgan Stanley she was at Goldman Sachs.

Ellen Yaffe, who heads the Rose Partnership's capital markets practice, said Wright's expertise would strengthen the firm's search capability in a challenging business climate.

The Rose Partnership has maintained a policy of digging in its heels on fee structuring for clients in difficult times, banking on its reputation for providing good service. It says this long-term strategy has kept it buoyant at a time when headhunters are finding clients very demanding.

The firm has broadened a core competence in corporate finance to fixed income, structured finance, foreign exchange, secondary equities, fund management and private equity.

Wright is the latest in a series of bankers in London to jump ship from banking to headhunting. Unlike many who say they have had no time in their banking lives to do anything but work, she is an accomplished yachtswoman who raced in the Times Clipper 2000 Round the World race.
