Armstrong International appoints new partners

Ghada Sousou, Harry Pilkington, Aidan Kennedy and Frank Hollmeyer have been made partners by Martin Armstrong, the firm's founder, as a result of "their uncanny ability to generate sizeable revenues in extremely difficult trading conditions.'

Armstrong International already had four partners - Martin Armstrong, Sam Stylianou, Oliver Stanley and Rachel Hannon.

The firm had about 65 staff in 2000. Earlier this year it said the number had slimmed down to about thirty-five.

Of the new partners, Sousou has been running the real estate practice across Europe, having joined Armstrong in 2000 in the private equity team. Kennedy, who is head of research for all product groups, joined in 1999 in investment banking.

Hollmeyer joined in 1999 after a working for UBS in Zurich and London in mergers and acquisitions. He has regional responsibilities for Germany and is a member of the investment banking practice.

Pilkington joined in 1997 and focuses on international private banking projects.
