Trezona launches boutique search firm
Based in Berkeley Square, the heartland of private banking search in London, the firm initially has two senior consultants - Trezona and Ian Thompson, a private banker turned headhunter. Helen Skuse, who has worked as a freelance consultant and researcher, is joining as a full-time researcher.
Trezona has been working for two European banks and an international bank on a consultancy basis for the last two and a half years, combining executive search with strategic human capital consultancy. For the last seven years he has focused exclusively on private wealth management.
He was previously with the niche financial services headhunter The Consulting Group, building their business in Singapore and Hong Kong, moving on to be managing director of headhunter Stephens Associates in Asia. Returning to London, he was briefly a partner at Ray & Berndtson.
Trezona said: "It has taken 15 years to establish relationships that are now coming to fruition. Clients, particularly the European banks, are looking for a personal service."
He aims to have established an office in Singapore and one in Geneva manned by a Swiss ex-private banker by the end of the year.
