HR managers have finally reached the 'top table' - survey

A total of 72% of HR managers at financial services firms feel that 'HR has a seat at the top table' at their company, according to the poll by the Penna human capital consultancy.

The survey also found that 64% believe their employer consults HR executives about how change at the company should deliver business value.

However, only 41% think HR departments are respected for their strategic thinking.

As many as 12% are also unsure in their own minds whether their HR department creates value for their company - though the other 88% believe it does.

The poll also revealed some critical views of senior company executives. Nearly 25% of the HR managers felt their behaviour did nothing to demonstrate that their firm's greatest asset was its people.
