TMP Worldwide sets up board of directors practice
Andrew McKelvey, CEO of TMP Worldwide, said: "Conducting board searches is critical to the development of key relationships." He added that increasing board level experience would strengthen the executive search divisions's role in TMP Worldwide's intern-to-CEO recruitment strategy.
The TMP headhunter Robert Rollo, based in Los Angeles, will head the new practice. Its arrival follows the trend for headhunters to get as close as possible to senior management in search of new ways to win business.
Doubts among headhunters about TMP's commitment to executive search were fuelled by the departure in October of Steve Potter, the financial services headhunter brought in to head the search division two years ago. The launch of the new practice suggests those doubts may now be allayed.
