Korn/Ferry appoints high fliers to assist corporate governance practice
The creation of the 11-member team is another example of the increasingly consultative role sought by executive search firms in order to build closer links with clients.
External members of the European advisory board, as the team is called, include Jacques Garaialde, who leads the Carlyle Europe Venture Partners team, Gabriel Hawawini, the dean of Insead, Manfred Lahnstein, a former finance minister of Germany, and Vernon Sankey, a non-executive director of Zurich Financial Services and of Pearson plc.
Mina Gouran, a director of the European advisory board and managing director of the practice it will assist, said: "Advisory boards of this nature have become a trend in the world of investment banking and private equity, but outside of this are still quite rare."
