The survey does not include growth in cash bonuses, pension contributions, or share options. Cash bonuses for FTSE 100 directors increased by 34% to 297,000 (€478,000).
The news comes at a time when some directors taking a strict approach to employees' wages. One in six service sector companies and one in 10 manufacturers have frozen wages since August, according to the Confederation of British Industry.
