Ex-TMP headhunter joins Penna Meridian as adviser

Evans left TMP, the global recruitment firm, last year. He had sold his financial services boutique, the Consulting Group, to TMP in 1999. He and all the other Consulting Group partners left TMP within 18 months of the takeover.

Evans said: &quotOutplacement is the other side of the coin to executive search. You are dealing with heads of HR and divisional heads of investment banks but paying attention to the individual.&quot

Linda Jackson, business director at Penna Meridian, said: &quotPeter's recruitment knowledge and networking background are useful to our business.&quot

Evans had no comment on whether he planned eventually to return to headhunting. His former employer, TMP, asked him to stay out of the business for a period of time expiring in a few weeks.
