IMS Consulting sets up compliance recruitment arm
Nixon was a consultant at Hunter Campbell, focusing on compliance, and will perform the same role at her new firm. Scott Wilson, a director of IMS, acknowledged that the recruitment market had been affected by the economic downturn, but said there was still plenty of demand for compliance officers.
"Some of this is a result of regulatory changes being introduced by the Financial Services Authority," he said. "In some areas firms are having to tighten up procedures."
IMS' services include project management and advice on compliance matters, much of it for asset management and venture capital firms.
