Finance sector top recruiters of chief execs

Financial services companies have remained Europe's top recruiters of senior executives.

In the third quarter of 2000, 25% of demand for chief execs came from the financial services sector, according to a survey by Korn/Ferry International, the global recruitment company. Its Executive Demand Index also reveals European demand to be up by 19% across all industry sectors in comparison with the third quarter of 1999.

The strongest demand in Europe was for general managers, leaping from 25% in the third quarter 1999 to 33% in the third quarter this year.
