Wheat grows from BBM defections
George Corbett and Joe Thomas have announced the creation of Wheat, based in the City of London.
Corbett and Thomas both spent seven years at BBM, and are specialists in global custody, operations and securities lending searches.
Corbett joined BBM from Robert Walters where he spent five years while Thomas joined BBM from Michael Page.
"Over our seven years at BBM, we've built up a lot of contacts and a very good franchise," Corbett said. He would not comment on whether other search executives would be joining them or whether they had plans for joint ventures with other firms.
Corbett explained the name of the firm: "We thought Wheat was a modern name that stands out."
