Tomkins chief faces deadline to fill job slots

The call comes after Herro, a director of US fund manager Harris Associates, met the Tomkins chairman in the group's Putney offices. Herro last week called for the resignation of Wambold, claiming that the senior non-executive either knew, or at least should have known, of the corporate excesses of ousted Tomkins chief executive Greg Hutchings.

This week he added Roger Holland to the list of non-executives that should be replaced.
