An internal memo was issued to staff stating: 'As the result of an internal investigation relating to the inappropriate use of the e-mail system, a small number of Deutsche Asset Management staff have had their contracts of employment terminated today. Others have had disciplinary warnings.'
A spokeswoman for Deutsche Asset Management would not disclose the names or positions of those involved. The material is believed to have been circulated some time last week.
