Barclays loses group director of media relations

Darby had been at Barclays since 1999 where she managed strategic announcements including the takeover of Woolwich and the appointment of group chief executive Matthew Barrett.

Before Barclays, Darby was a partner and director at Lansons Communications, a financial services PR consultancy. She was responsible for accounts including Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and Bank of Ireland.

Tulchan Communications specialises in financial communication and critical media relations for blue chip clients including Scottish Power and Railtrack. The firm was founded in May 2000 by two ex-Brunswick employees - Andrew Grant, a former partner, and Andrew Honnor, from Brunswick New York.
