New worldwide chief at Bain & Co
Donahoe, who has been head of Bain's West Coast offices in the US since 1992, replaces Thomas Tierney, who had held the postion since 1992.
Donahoe, an expert in e-commerce, helped start bainlab, Bain's investment venture arm. The company also announced the re-election of Orit Gadiesh for her third term as chairman of the board.
