Credit Lyonnais boosts Europe board

RJ Margetts has been appointed to the board of Legal & General as non-executive chairman.

Matthew Barrett, Barclays group chief executive, has made his first senior appointments since taking over last year. Barclays has appointed Gary Dibb to be group director of strategic planning and corporate development. He joins from Bank Montreal in Canada.

Tim Shepheard-Walwyn has also been appointed as group risk director. He is replacing Alan Brown, who is retiring after 30 years with the Barclays. Shepheard-Walwyn joins from UBS where he was managing director of risk control.
