Gordon takes new post at JP Morgan

Gordon will join on February 7 from Citigroup investment bank where he was chief operating officer for Europe. He will report to Klaus Diederichs, co-head of global mergers.

Scudder Kemper Investments, part of Zurich Financial Services, has hired Harold Kahn from PricewaterhouseCoopers to be its chief financial officer.

He will be based in New York. He replaces Stephen Beckwith who is staying on in a strategic support role.

Michael Cavanagh has been appointed chief administrative officer of Salomon Smith Barney in Europe.

He most recently worked for Citigroup Consumer in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The National Association of Professional Investment Managers has appointed Andrew Benson as its new chairman.

Benson, an investment director at Laing & Cruickshank Investment Management, succeeds Alan Maidment who has served in this role since 1996.

Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette has appointed Henry Jackson as managing director, head of European retailing and consumer products. Jackson joins from Peter J Solomon Company, a New York-based M&A boutique. He will be based in London.

Scott Dobbie, chairman of CrestCo, the UK equity settlement system, has assumed the position of chairman for the Securities Institute. He replaces former chairman Ross Russell, who has retired after seven years.

Reuters Group has hired David Lockwood to help run its Greenhouse Fund, which invests in internet and technology companies. Lockwood, formerly head of European equities at Goldman Sachs, will be joint managing partner of the fund with John Taysom.
