A leading global clearing and financing bank is adding to its Hong Kong Securities Finance desk. This is a front-office trading seat with real ownership of a book at a well-established international name. Two routes in are welcome: experienced SBL traders, and SBL operations / middle-office professionals ready to make the move onto the trading desk.

What you'll do

1. Execute securities borrowing and lending trades within approved limits, and run your books with a close eye on P&L
2. Manage internal inventory against external borrow costs, fees and interest, keeping funding efficient
3. Handle corporate actions, dividends and market events across the lifecycle of your trades
4. Work closely with counterparties, clients and regional Operations to keep settlement clean and collateral used smartly
5. Help sharpen the desk's processes, controls and automation as the business grows

What you'll bring

1. Hands-on experience in securities finance / SBL, either as a trader or in SBL operations / middle office looking to step into a front-office role
2. Strong numeracy, sharp attention to detail, and a controls-minded, professional approach
3. SFC Type 1 (Modules 1A, 6, 6A), or the ability to complete them after joining

Bonus points for: collateral or corporate-actions exposure, strong Excel/VBA, and Python or data tools.
