Our client, a leading bank in Hong Kong, is hiring a Head of Wholesale Corporate Accounts. The role is responsible for leading end-to-end corporate account onboarding and account management oversight with a primary focus on CDD and KYC.

He/She will ensure that corporate clients are onboarded in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements, and that escalations are handled promptly and appropriately in line with the bank’s Incident Escalation / Incident Management Policy.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and oversee corporate account opening activities for the bank’s wholesale corporate client base
2. Ensure CDD processes are consistently applied and meet both regulatory expectations and internal policy requirements.
3. Drive quality of onboarding documentation, beneficial ownership identification, risk profiling, and ongoing review requirements.
4. Maintain strong operational governance across the onboarding workflow to ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.

Requirements

1. Cantonese is Mandatory
2. Proven people leadership experience, ideally managing a team of 20+.
3. Demonstrated expertise in operational risk, incident management, and escalation governance.
4. Strong experience in corporate account opening with demonstrable CDD and AML risk management expertise.
5. Excellent communication skills (English & Cantonese) and the ability to partner effectively across internal stakeholders.
