Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable data engineering, real-time streaming, and API solutions that support enterprise-wide business and digital transformation initiatives.
• Design and optimize data pipelines, streaming platforms, and database solutions to ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, cloud engineers, and delivery teams to gather requirements, perform impact assessments, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Drive engineering best practices including code reviews, CI/CD, DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, testing automation, and reusable component development to improve delivery quality and speed.
• Provide technical leadership for Agile teams, supporting sprint planning, stakeholder communication, solution governance, and continuous improvement of data platforms and services.

Key Requirements

• 6-8 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, real-time data streaming, API development, and enterprise data integration, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale solutions.
• Strong technical expertise in Python, Scala, SQL, Spark Streaming, Kafka, Java/J2EE, REST APIs, and modern data engineering technologies such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Hadoop ecosystems.
• Solid experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, along with database design, optimization, and CDC concepts.
• Working knowledge of cloud and container technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure, including Azure data services, AKS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines in a DevOps environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to lead technical teams, influence decision-making, and partner effectively with business and technology stakeholders.
