These are (almost) all the new MDs at JPMorgan
Last week, JPMorgan announced 320 new managing directors (MDs) globally, of whom 116 were in the corporate and investment bank, 36 were in technology, 36% were women and 44% were millennials.
The promotions were a little later than usual: JPM usually names its MDs in May but this year's promotions were delayed because of COVID-19.
Unlike Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan doesn't share its full MD list, but below we have (most of) the names from the corporate and investment bank this year. There are some notable inclusions like Michael Elanjian, Head of CIB Digital Strategy and Fintech, who joined from Goldman Sachs in 2018.
JPMorgan, needless to say, is proud of its record of promoting women, but some at the bank are already complaining that women benefited from positive discrimination and that this is filtering down to executive director promotions too.
If you see any names missing from the list, please get in touch at the email below.
