Perella Weinberg Partners Opens Its Doors

Joseph Perella officially announced the formation of his financial services firm, Perella Weinberg Partners. Recent media reports said the firm is looking for junior staff members.

In a press release, Perella said the firm will provide corporate advisory and investment management services to clients around the world. PWP has raised more than $1billion from eleven Investors to fund both investment initiatives and to the firm's operations. The firm said it has over 30 employees either already working or who have agreed to join. It's leased office space at 767 Fifth Avenue in New York and at 20 Grafton Street in London.

Earlier this week, Financial News said the firm was seeking analysts and associates to join its London office. In May, the Financial Times said new hires would be expected to do much of the execution work on deals, although the firm seemed to be having some trouble luring them away from big firms.

"We are successfully building our corporate advisory business person by person and our team of professionals is second to none. We anticipate an equally high quality team in investment

management as we round out our group of professionals in that area," Perella said.

The firm's Web site allows interested candidates to e-mail resumes and cover letters through its careers page.
