Job Description

Data Analyst is responsible for supporting operational excellence through data analysis, data cleansing, workflow automation, and business reporting. This role partners closely with Kroll's Print Production and Engagement teams to ensure the accurate processing, analysis, and delivery of critical client data.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and technical skills with hands-on experience using Databricks and Alteryx to manage large datasets, develop automated workflows, perform root cause analysis, and deliver actionable business insights. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert for operational data processes and continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and data quality within the team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Analyze, validate, cleanse, and prepare both small and large, simply and complex datasets for operational processing, reporting, on both physical mailing along with email projects.
  • Develop and maintain queries within Databricks to support data extraction, validation, analysis, and operational reporting needs.
  • Design, build, and maintain Alteryx workflows that automate manual processes, improve operational efficiency, and ensure consistent data quality.
  • Monitor data integrity through audits, reconciliations, exception reporting, and quality assurance processes.
  • Investigate data discrepancies, processing issues, and system-generated errors to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Leverage automation, AI-enabled tools, and modern analytics platforms to improve data processing, billing, and reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with security, privacy, and data governance policies and procedures.
  • Complete all responsibilities with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on best practices.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Strong experience working with large datasets, data transformation, and data quality management.
  • Advanced proficiency writing SQL queries and performing data analysis within Databricks.
  • Hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Alteryx workflows.
  • Experience performing data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify meaningful trends.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query, data modeling, and complex data analysis techniques.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, data structures, and data management.
  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform self-reviews to catch mistakes before peer reviewed.
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and proven ability to learn new technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
  • Strong communication and project ownership skills.
  • 4+ years of relevant analytics experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience using Databricks in a production environment.
  • 2+ years of experience developing solutions within Alteryx Designer.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience supporting operations, cybersecurity, compliance, risk, or service delivery organizations.
  • Knowledge of data governance and information security best practices.
  • Experience leading analytics or automation initiatives.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sitting for long periods of time in close proximity to a computer screen.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel 10%

The current salary range for this position is $90,000 to $125,000
