As a senior leader at Nasdaq, you will be accountable for shaping and advancing our global compensation strategy - ensuring our rewards programs attract, retain, and motivate top talent in a competitive market. This role requires a proven ability to translate compensation philosophy into scalable programs, influence senior stakeholders, and drive decisions grounded in data, equity, and market intelligence.

You'll thrive in this position if you bring executive presence, deep expertise in compensation design, and the ability to lead with both strategic clarity and analytical rigor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the strategy for Nasdaq's Global compensation programs - including base pay, short-term incentives, and long-term incentive structures - ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market competitiveness.

  • Provide strategic guidance and consultation to HR Business Partners on compensation policies, market positioning, and pay decisions.

  • Lead compensation program design and governance, overseeing the development of structures, frameworks, and policies that reflect Nasdaq's Total Rewards philosophy.

  • Drive advanced analysis and financial modeling to evaluate compensation trends, assess program effectiveness, and inform executive decision-making.

  • Ensure all compensation programs meet regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards, mitigating risk and maintaining compliance.

  • Active engagement and partnership with the Executive Compensation teams to support Board meetings

  • Mentor and develop compensation talent, fostering a high-performing team culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth.

  • Leads a team of 8 Compensation practitioners located in the US, EU and APAC

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in compensation leadership within a global, complex organization - with demonstrated expertise across base pay, incentive design, and total rewards strategy.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing compensation frameworks aligned with business strategy and external market benchmarks.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to advise and influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Deep knowledge of governance, regulatory, and compliance requirements related to compensation programs.

  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and inspiring teams to deliver at a high standard.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master's in Human Resources or Finance) or equivalent senior-level training.

  • Experience in Executive Compensation or Sales Compensation in a publicly traded company.

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or equivalent professional designation.

This position is located in New York, NY and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment with at least 3 days a week in-office , subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

What We Offer

The base pay range for this role is $148,000 - $274,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
