Join our Payroll team and help deliver a reliable, accurate and client-focused service to businesses across a wide range of sectors. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, processing payrolls, responding to queries and building trusted relationships, all while working alongside a supportive and collaborative team.
What you'll be doing day to day
- Processing a wide variety of client payrolls as part of the wider team
- Acting as the main point of contact for a defined portfolio of clients
- Onboarding new client payrolls, ensuring data is accurate and identifying opportunities for efficiency
- Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a professional, responsive service
- Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and applying changes accurately
- Responding to client queries efficiently, accurately and within agreed timescales
- Liaising with HMRC regarding employer payments and payroll-related queries
- Ensuring payroll processing is completed accurately and on time
- Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation
- Experience managing a defined client portfolio effectively
- Excellent client service skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Confident communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, supporting colleagues when required
- Ability to manage priorities and meet strict deadlines
- A polite, professional approach when working with a wide range of clients
- Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Accuracy, numeracy and a methodical, organised approach to work
