Data Analytics Governance Analyst

Hybrid (3/2 split)

£405 - £690 per day (via Umbrella)

cer Financial are working alongside a great mid tier international bank, who are based in London. They are seeking an Data Analytics Governance Analyst to work with them on a contract.

The responsibilities will include:

· Champion Data Analytics Governance standards and best practices.

· Ensure consistent governance across analytics artefacts throughout their lifecycle.

· Identify and classify Key Data Users and EUCs across EMEA.

· Conduct gap analyses against policies and procedures.

· Agree and track remediation actions with KDU/EUC owners.

· Maintain the KDU and EUC catalogue and required metadata.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (including BCBS239).

· Keep governance inventories accurate and up to date.

· Collaborate with stakeholders across all organisational levels.

· Support bank-wide data governance initiatives and forums.

· Produce regular reports, project updates, and respond to ad hoc information requests.

The candidate will have:

· Experience establishing Analytics or EUC Governance frameworks.

· Knowledge of BCBS239 and financial services regulatory requirements (ECB experience desirable).

· Experience with governance and cataloguing tools (e.g. Collibra, Apparity).

· Strong stakeholder management, communication, and coaching skills.

· Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and the analytics SDLC.

· Experience with analytics platforms and governance tools.

· Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.

· Understanding of data governance, data management, and data lineage.

· Experience enabling enterprise self-service analytics.

· Knowledge of data-related regulatory requirements.
