External Audit Coordinator - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

The Audit Specialist supports the successful delivery of Group audit, statutory audit processes and local statutory accounts processes through to final sign-off. The role acts as a key specialist coordination point between Genpact, GBS, central auditors, EY and local finance teams, ensuring audit and statutory accounts information requests are understood, owned, delivered on time and followed through to resolution.
The role requires close collaboration with Genpact, local teams and other relevant finance teams to support timely, accurate and effective delivery.
This role is initially being offered on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract basis.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Coordinate audit and statutory accounts information requests across assigned markets or regions, ensuring ownership is clear between Genpact, GBS and local finance teams.
Track the status of audit deliverables, outstanding requests, dependencies and blockers, and escalate risks to the relevant Regional Accounting Lead and central stakeholders where required.
Support Genpact in understanding the purpose, priority and required quality of information requested by auditors and statutory accounts preparers.
Maintain close communication with EY, Deloitte, local auditors and local finance teams to ensure audit evidence and statutory accounts inputs are delivered in line with agreed deadlines.
Help resolve queries where information requests cross both Genpact and local finance ownership, including accrual postings, supporting files, payroll-related information and other locally held data.
Provide practical support during peak Group and statutory audit periods.
Contribute to lessons learned and process improvements to support more efficient future audit and statutory accounts delivery.
Experience/Qualifications:
Strong finance, accounting or audit background, ideally with experience of statutory accounts, external audit or close processes.
Good understanding of financial records, trial balances, audit evidence and statutory reporting information requirements.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across internal finance teams, outsourced service providers and external auditors.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple information requests, deadlines and dependencies across several markets.
Ability to identify ownership gaps, unblock issues and escalate risks clearly and promptly.
Comfortable operating in a transformation environment, including working with outsourced finance delivery and system migration impacts.
Proactive, pragmatic and delivery-focused approach, with attention to detail and a strong service mindset.
