Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their career within a professional accountancy practice.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare management accounts and statutory accounts for a portfolio of limited company clients ensuring they are prepared accurately, in a timely manner and in accordance with standards, internal budgets and statutory deadlines
• Planning your own workload to manage jobs and to ensure great service outcomes
• Prepare corporation tax computations and returns ensuring accuracy and that all relevant tax is applied
• Regular reporting to Client Manager on statistics for your workload
• Liaising with clients in regard to the preparation of their accounts and answering any relevant queries
• Providing recommendations and highlights to the Client Manager regarding the client accounts prepared
• Sharing your technical knowledge and experience within the team and foster a supportive environment
• Ability to identify services that will add value to clients
• Set and maintain the highest standard of quality to all clients
Key Requirements
• AAT qualified/graduate with relevant degree and experience, or on the ACCA journey
• Have knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
• Be committed to furthering your technical knowledge
• Can do attitude with exceptional communication and organisational skills particularly when managing and prioritising your own workload
• Passion for providing excellent customer service
Additional Requirements
• Experience of working in general practice
• Experience of using cloud accounting software (preferably Xero) and knowledge of accounting support software (examples: CCH and Dext etc)
