The Company

A leading global multi-industry company is looking for a Project Finance & Support Manager for their Dubai operation covering the Middle East.

The Role

We are looking for an objective Project Finance & Support Manager to add value and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of management reporting, control systems and governance processes.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, maintain and adjust management reporting systems, as well as monitor and analyze their output with recommended courses of action to management
  • Implement business management software with the design of key business processes/procedures and integrated controls;
  • Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements
  • Manage critical financial data while collaborating with the Finance function to implement and document data controls
  • Validate data migration across system
  • Create tests to guarantee reporting is consistent and defined
  • Support month-end and year-end closing across the entities of the Group
  • Support the Finance function in its assessment of new business ventures, as and when required
  • Contribute in the implementation and standardization of the budgeting amongst the entities of the Group
  • Participate in the implementation of new local legal structures and financial functions;
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures as well as financial systems for new local structures
  • Ad-hoc assignments as directed by the Supervisor of general ledger control accounts to subsidiary ledgers (sub-modules)

Requirements / Skills

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Advanced degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) is an advantage;
  • 5 to 10 years related working experience
  • Proficient in English and French, both spoken and written;
  • Extensive travel (30%+)
  • Candidate must have proven record of successfully implementing management reporting systems and financial system software (ERPs)
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports;
  • Thorough understanding of corporate financial analysis, systems analysis, accounting processes and procedures
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and working with various levels of personnel
  • Requires exceptional analytical skills and knowledge of both finance processes & reporting and supporting systems/technologies
  • Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is a plus
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office (proficiency in using Excel, and preparing spreadsheet reports), and accounting software
