We are working with a boutique financial services firm, focused on serving institutional and professional clients, on recruiting a Finance Officer for their office in Dubai.
Handling the company's finance, accounting, operation, funding, and cash-flow function; administering financing and revenue projects.
Spearheading the development of a trading platform, overseeing all aspects of transactions, commission allocation, net profit/loss, achieving consensus on the requisite features required by all business units to its design, development, testing and usage.
Regular monitoring and reporting of transactions within the firms accounts maintained with FCA regulated brokers as well as client money accounts held with local and international banks.
Divisional head, leading financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, P&L optimization and administering the payroll division including sales compensation, pension and bonus plans
Developing and implementing solutions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements both existing and emerging.
Determining and allocating credit limit risk and extensions to clients/counterparties on the basis of financial and business evaluation.
Creating and submitting financial models, stress testing scenarios along with quarterly regulatory financial reports to DFSA (Dubai Financial Services Authority).
Presenting financial results and business direction at board meetings.
Applicants must have previously held position as the nominated Finance Officer for DFSA financial reporting.
It is expected that the successful candidate will hold a recognised accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA).
Prior experience working for an international institution in a developed market (i.e London/HK/Singapore/New York) will be preferred, as this role will require daily liaison with international finance colleagues and stakeholders.
Understanding of Global Markets and working knowledge of traded financial instruments (e.g. listed derivatives, equities, OTC products, structured products, etc).
Previous experience working for a global financial institution in a developed market is preferential.
