With strength and expertise in the cross-border corporate/M&A space, it is now seeking to strengthen its team with the recruitment of a bright, motivated Senior Financial & Reporting Analyst.

Job Purpose

  • To collect, review and analyse financial data and report on the financial health of the Firm to support the management in making informed financial decisions

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis on M&A activity and prepare business plans for expansion projects.
  • Gather, analyse financial data, and generate financial reports for management review.
  • Identify and highlight potential risks and opportunities associated with the support given.
  • IPO assessment and financial analysis.
  • Identify any errors in entries/gaps in financial performance and escalate for timely action.
  • Identify and address variances in actual versus spent/planned.
  • Carry out periodic checks of accounting ledgers to ensure there are no errors.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Report and analyse monthly financial performance.
  • Develop BI reporting
  • Implement and develop new ERP system.
  • Analyse and initiate KPIs for business management.
  • Provide analysis on M&A activity and prepare business plans for expansion projects.
  • Support the integrated business planning process.
  • Prepare annual budgets and quarterly budget reforecasts.
  • Consolidate the financial statements of the group.
  • Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Compare and analyse actual results with budget and forecasts.
  • Assist with monthly journal entry and financial close process.
  • Coordinate the year-end closing activities.
  • Lead cross functional projects.

Qualifications & Minimum Years of Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related discipline or Chartered Accountancy with 5 to 10 years’ experience in a similar role with a major law firm or multinational company – MBA is a plus
