The position is for the family office of a large Abu Dhabi conglomerate. The family office invests in PE, VC, Real Estate and Financial Markets. The position will report to the Investment Managers & will assist the CIO & the Investment Managers with overseeing private market investments The Team manages investments internally, selects & monitors external asset managers across multiple asset classes and looks at direct investments into companies/assets. The position assists the CIO and the Investment Managers in performing a variety of administrative and managerial duties related to planning, organizing, and directing the investment functions of the Group.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall responsibility for day-to-day execution and implementation of transactions assigned by senior deal team members
  • Coordinate with senior team members on investment opportunity assessments, structuring and financing processes and more complex transactions/projects
  • Implement transaction process management – assumes responsibility for valuation and due diligence analyses
  • Structures, coordinates and execute all due diligence workstreams
  • Assist in preparing relevant documentation of investment analysis, including investment memoranda and PowerPoint presentations
  • Take responsibility for portfolio companies monitoring, including regularly preparing for and attending management diligence sessions and reporting internally on a regular basis
  • Contributing directly to ongoing business development, including maintaining detailed pipeline of prospects and potential deals and conducting research and analysis to support internal presentations and investment strategy

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Desire to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial organization
  • 2-4 years of transaction driven experience, structuring and closing of private equity, direct investments and / or venture capital transactions with an international family office, private equity, fund manager, tier 1 global investment bank or equivalent firm
  • Good understanding of private equity and/or venture capital dynamics
  • Good understanding of the accelerating technologies trends and industries
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-ranked university, MS in Finance and Engineering degree preferred

  • Good communication/interpersonal skills with motivation to learn and advance
  • Ability to multi-task while generating accurate, timely and complete work product
  • Strong excel modelling skills and presentation skills (Word and PowerPoint)
  • Tech savvy with good knowledge of the latest technologies (AI, robotics, infinite computing, and networks) and their applications in the major sectors: Fintech, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, aggrotech, biotech.
