The Upstream & Integrated (U&I) unit manages a portfolio of mature investments as well as pursuing investment opportunities across the U&I value chain with primary focus on dividend generation and long term value creation. The mandate is to invest, build and manage a portfolio of leading U&I businesses globally in the sectors of natural gas and crude exploration and production, gathering, treating, compression, processing and storage, pipeline, natural gas liquefaction and regasification.

The team needs to bring on board a top-tier Associates with extensive experience gained in international oil and gas transactions. The successful candidate will be exposed to the full investment lifecycle, from origination, valuation, execution, asset management to exit/monetization. She/he will be responsible for building the financial models, conducting due diligences and researching and analyzing new investment opportunities.

The successful candidate will:

  • Currently be at an Associate (or equivalent) level at a top-tier investment bank, private equity, industry player, with experience of working in the major financial centers of Europe, North America, or Asia

  • Have exposure to Upstream and Integrated investments with proven transactional experience (IPO / sale experience is a plus)

  • Have strong knowledge of industry fundamentals and exceptionally strong financial modeling, valuation and due diligence skills (at least 5 years working experience required)

  • Through a strong understanding of the sector landscape and dynamic, has the ability to anticipate opportunities & threats and advise senior management on critical business decisions

  • Have knowledge of main M&A industry tools and research portals (WoodMac, IHS, Bloomberg, etc.)

  • Hold a business/engineering related degree (MBA/CFA preferred) from a highly regarded university

  • Have excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
