Job Description

Step into an instrumental role in a friendly financial planning office. Work as an employee of an independent franchise practice of Ameriprise Financial. This person will work within a team environment to assist the financial advisor in the financial planning work/low. This person completes tasks which allow the advisor to focus more time and energy on client acquisition and deepening client relationships.

This role provides client relationship support through managing, gathering and analyzing client data, helping prepare preliminary financial plans and other client deliverables, working with clients to resolve issues and other practice management tasks as needed. We're a high-energy, close knit team that approaches our work collaboratively. Responsibilities will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor.


Position Function:
  • Organize and standardize the financial planning work/low/process so that it can be scalable as the business changes
  • Prepare preliminary financial planning recommendations and initial product solutions for advisor review and use in client meetings
  • Prepare charts, graphs, tables and other visual aids to be used in meetings with clients
  • Review and update client information as needed for client review meetings
  • Attend and participate in client meetings if necessary
  • Maintain client contact during the financial planning process. Answer questions and provide readily available information to clients, if requested and as allowable, as it relates to servicing their accounts
  • Manage and resolve client service problems
  • Conduct transaction requests as directed by financial advisor
  • Contact or follow-up with home office on related issues
  • Prepare correspondence for advisor signature
  • Document client contact/calls
  • Perform other allowable duties as assigned by the financial advisor

Required Qualifications

Education and Other Designations:
  • 2-yr Associates Degree or higher
  • 2+ years of similar experience
  • An interest in becoming licensed is a bonus
Computer Skills:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Ameriprise software/platforms is a major plus.
Job Type: Full - Time
Salary: $15.00 to $25.00 /hour Experience:
Regulations: 1 year (Preferred)
