Job Description

BlackRock is a leader in investment management, risk management and advisory services for institutional and retail clients worldwide. Within BlackRock, the US Wealth Advisory business manages the firm's relationships with US financial advisors and wealth platforms. Professionals on the team work together to deliver a full range of asset management, risk management, portfolio construction, and technology solutions services relevant to clients' investment needs. They are responsible for delivery of BlackRock's US registered products, including open-end funds, ETFs, separately managed accounts, alternative investments, and managed models.

Edward Jones Market Consultants in US Wealth Advisory are responsible for delivering a superior advisor experience to Edward Jones advisors and BOAs. The scope of their role includes three core elements:

1. Deeply serve Edward Jones advisors, helping them deliver an ideal client experience

2. Support market team execution and delivery of Alpha and Index franchises

3. Provide deep Edward Jones expertise with knowledge of EJ vision and strategic priorities, culture, Bridge Builder, Guided Solutions

This position requires living and traveling in the territory to most effectively support Edward Jones advisors' needs. The Edward Jones Consultant will report into a Divisional Director within US Wealth Advisory's Independent channel.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver fiduciary markets, practice, and portfolio insights through solutions-based conversations

• Demonstrate mastery of BlackRock financial products across open-end funds, ETFs, and separately managed accounts

• Demonstrate mastery of portfolio construction and risk management through Aladdin

• Partner with Market Teams to optimally cover and accelerate the growth Edward Jones advisor practices, with focus on Level New-4 advisors

• Deliver ETF education and practice management to support advisor practice growth

• Drive ETF and Alpha results in geography (net flows, market share, organic growth), through 1:1 and leveraged events, and seminars to drive advisor client acquisition

• Embrace data-driven segmentation and sales processes to effectively manage the territory and enhance advisor engagement

• Identify the appropriate distribution levers to service and cultivate the best opportunities

• Engage Edward Jones leadership (e.g., Regional Leaders, level leaders, BOA coordinators) to optimize coverage and relationships across the territory

• Demonstrate dedication to the Market Team's success and overall culture

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required (CFA, CIMA, CFP, MBA, a plus)

• Minimum 5 years of financial services experience with 3+ years as an internal/hybrid wholesaler or 2+ years as an external wholesaler

• Strong financial services background with knowledge of investment trends, market trends, and advisor practices

• Experience working with Edward Jones financial advisors and BOAs

• Ability to develop relationships with clients and prospects in-person through 1:1 engagements and group events; and virtually using video-conference technology

• Excellent sales and servicing skills to deliver an exceptional client experience

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong territory management skills, including profiling and resource deployment

• NASD Series 7 and 66 (or 63 & 65) required

• Clean U-4

• 80% travel is required
