About the Role SUMMARY

The role of the Lead Risk Reporting Analyst will reside within the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team. You will join a team of energetic associates, driven by ideas and goals to enhance risk management processes across E*TRADE. We look for associates with strong detail orientation while recognizing their role and the impact of their work in the broader organizational framework.

The primary role of the Lead Risk Reporting Analyst is to develop and maintain risk reporting to management committees. The Risk Reporting Analyst should have a high level of accountability, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate and communicate clearly with associates at various levels in the organization. This role will be accountable for ensuring complete and accurate documents are prepared and disseminated by stated deadlines. The Risk Reporting Analyst should be open-minded and able to quickly adapt and pivot to changing priorities, deadlines, and practices while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the company, tailoring communications to various audiences
  • Maintain tools and methodologies to monitor and report on risk while proactively seeking ways to enhance or improve the reporting process/tools
  • Contribute to key initiatives and accurately report on risk exposures and metrics
  • Manage ad hoc requests from senior management to ensure timely and accurate responses
  • In collaboration with other members of the Risk Management team, prepare responses to requests from regulators and internal auditors
  • Liaise with other groups within the firm on cross-functional projects
  • Contribute to the analysis and preparation of reports for Management, Regulators, Auditors, etc. that detail risks inherent in Operational, Credit, Market, or other Risk Categories
  • Develop and maintains close working relationships with Risk Management, Business Units and other Control functions. Raise, investigate and follow-up on issues related to data quality, limit excesses, etc.
  • Maintains data metrics measuring the risk infrastructure and performance of risk systems and processes for the businesses
  • Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) of reports produced, including continuing to evolve the QA process through the implementation of technology and reporting to management


Qualifications Basic
  • 4+ years' work experience in finance or a related control discipline (e.g. Risk Management, Risk reporting, Financial Control, Operations, etc.).
  • Possess knowledge of risk management processes.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and its regulations and laws.
  • Knowledge of risk management policies, methods, standards, processes, governance models, and industry standard risk analysis approaches.
Preferred
  • Quick learner with excellent communication skills, team orientation, and ability to work with counterparts in different areas of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Attention to detail and strong sense of ownership and accountability are mandatory qualities.
  • Demonstrated reading, writing, and communication skills through past experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail through a reading and writing sample.
