Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC. in Salt Lake City, UT. Responsible for performance and attribution reporting for institutional clients, including corporate and public pensions, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds and Global Portfolio Solutions (GPS) funds applying Modified Dietz and time weighted return methodologies. Oversee the timely creation and distribution of comprehensive institutional client reporting packages. Drive the analyses of portfolio and fund performance as needed by clients and portfolio managers applying knowledge of Modified Dietz and Time Weighted return methodologies to calculate and verify performance returns in portfolios. Utilize knowledge of portfolio implementation, product, exposure model and accounting to perform valuation, cash flow and Profit & Loss (P&L) analyses. Utilize knowledge of Investment Management Agreements (IMAs), portfolio benchmarking, currency risk exposure, manager selection, and realized performance calculation by applying various performance methodologies to provide performance attribution commentaries on portfolios. Utilize understanding of investment portfolios and financial markets and provide quarterly commentaries on funds and client portfolio performances. While involved in project management, will work closely with senior portfolio managers on various projects, including assisting with bespoke client requests and client review meetings. Collaborate with internal business groups, internal operations teams, external managers and custodian banks to validate data integrity, ensure calculations are correct, and all cash flows and valuations are appropriately recorded. Identify inefficiencies in workflow and work with business stakeholders to implement process improvements and automate manual procedures.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related performance measurement and risk analytics position. Must have three (3) years of prior experience with: Using Modified Dietz and Time Weighted return methodologies to calculate and verify performance returns for corporate and public pensions, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds and Global Portfolio Solutions (GPS) funds; utilizing portfolio accounting knowledge combined with portfolio implementation to perform valuation, cash flow and P&L analyses; using knowledge of IMAs to construct and calculate custom client portfolio benchmarks; applying knowledge of portfolio currency exposures and manager selections, calculating, verifying and writing commentaries to explain performance attributions; applying understanding of investment portfolios and financial markets and providing quarterly commentaries on funds and client portfolio performances; utilizing Microsoft Excel to process and analyze large sets of portfolio performance data to assist with client requests and client portfolio review meetings; utilizing portfolio accounting knowledge to ensure portfolio valuations and cash flows are accurately recorded; and identifying inefficiency in workflows and working with various business stakeholders and Portfolio Management teams to implement process improvements and automations.
