Your Impact

As a member of the debit strategy business team, you will work closely with senior business executives in checking and debit, as well as in the broader US Deposits organization. More specifically, you will work with product management, financial planning and analysis, controllers, treasury, technology, operations, fraud, legal and compliance teams, as well as external parties critical to the success of our platform. You will define and roll out features critical to the checking business and will simultaneously manage internal and external processes as we grow our business. In your role you will work on business and P&L related functions, product strategy, networks and operational management, legal and compliance processes and key communications with internal and external parties:

  • Manage our model (revenue projections, growth expectations, and expenses) in build and run state in conjunction with financial planning and analysis team, servicing, delivery, technology and other stakeholders ahead of quarterly budget exercise
  • Define the incremental value generated as well as the build costs required for products
  • Negotiate economics and manage budget according to key vendor and third party contracts
  • Monitor competitor and market activity, product performance and customer behavior to implement changes to products
  • Research industry trends and features to develop and pitch recommendations for the product roadmap
  • Define specific product parameters/features to be built in future phases and work with product strategy team to build, write stories, and execute
  • Work with legal and compliance in outlining processes and negotiating agreements and paperwork with key counterparties
  • Monitor network related rules, processes and documenting them appropriately so as to comply with operating rules for our business and ensure that features are running smoothly
  • Create presentations for executive leadership and key stakeholders throughout the firm on the state of the business
  • Collaborate with tech, digital product managers, fraud strategy and call center leads to define a best in class digital experience

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of retail banking experience
  • Prior product strategy experience in the consumer deposits and money movement/payments business is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of payments, transaction rails and networks a plus
  • Strong excel (financial modeling) and powerpoint skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Effective communicator who will present results highlighting the broader commercial and strategic impact
  • Proven analytical skills and problem solving ability paired with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proactive team player who takes ownership of and accountability for projects
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Desire to work in a fast paced environment, consistently adhering to strict deadlines and evolving priorities
