Planning Analyst
  • Assist in coordinating the bank’s initiative and project intake, prioritization and approval processes
  • Collaborate in developing presentations and ensuring the appropriate activities are completed for each decision point
  • Assist in developing and vetting business cases, including proformas and cost / benefit analysis
  • Participate in the high-level budget and resource estimation processes
  • Proactively engage the appropriate stakeholders in the analysis activities, including finance, technology, architecture, delivery leaders, information security, information privacy and risk
  • Contribute to semi-annual initiative roadmap planning with business and delivery leaders
  • Assist delivery leaders in providing quarterly updates on roadmap progress, changes and business outcomes
  • Prepare the materials and assist with the Bank Tank meetings with executive leaders and business requestors
  • Manage the schedule and logistics for the Bank Tank meetings, working closely with executive admins and other staff
  • Create, modify and distribute reports and presentations for financial and budget forecasts, resource capacity and demand forecasts, and project portfolio health and performance
  • Identify opportunities and actively participate in continuous improvement in processes, templates, information, estimation techniques, financial and resource forecasting and business analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree required in financial, accounting, business or related disciplines
  • 3-5 years of Banking/Financial Services experience required, 5-7 preferred
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills required
  • Strong experience with MS Project, MS Visio, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel required
  • Experience working with Daptiv or other project portfolio management tool preferred
  • Experience using Cognos Analytics or Power BI preferred
  • Consulting background preferred
  • Must be detail-oriented and comfortable working independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience developing and delivering executive-level presentations
  • Experience of delivering results through a matrix organization and influencing without direct authority
  • Excellent relationship management skills – experience of managing relationships across a variety of internal cross functional departments and externally with vendors and clients
  • Ability to facilitate with business leaders and subject matter experts
  • Outstanding time management skills
  • Proven history as a self-starter who can add value by driving process related decisions while working independently with a minimum amount of supervision
  • Ability to obtain, analyze and synthesize information as well as multi-task under pressure
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
