Position Profile

Weaver is always looking for talented Tax leaders at the Manager or Senior Manager level in Midland, Texas.  We welcome applications with all levels of experience.   Our Tax Services practice focuses on two areas – Private Client Services and Business Tax Services. 

The Business Tax Services team at Weaver works with private equity backed clients and large businesses. The Private Client Services team at Weaver helps clients manage and preserve their personal wealth.  Our scope of services includes, but is not limited to tax planning and preparation, entity structuring, wealth preservation, family succession consulting, and family office services.  A Tax Manager or Senior Manager will provide federal tax compliance and planning services. 

Education and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • CPA with 5 or more years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning and consulting at a public accounting firm
  • Possess technical knowledge sufficient to sell and execute engagements in a wide variety of industries
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff and managers
  • Strong relationship management and practice development skills
  • Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks, CCH Axcess, CCH Engagement, or similar software
